Privacy policy

ExplorXR is a static publication. There are no accounts, no comments, no newsletters and no contact forms, so there is very little to collect. This page explains what does get processed, by whom, and how to stop it.
What this site collects directly
Nothing. ExplorXR sets no first-party cookies, runs no first-party analytics, and does not build profiles of readers. If you email us, we hold that message and your address for as long as it takes to answer, and keep it afterwards only if it is part of a correction record.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes request data, including IP address, user agent, referring page and the time of the request, to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare's handling of that data is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Advertising
ExplorXR is supported by display advertising served through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or to other sites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and elsewhere.

Where consent is required, Google's consent message is shown before advertising cookies are set, and you can decline personalised advertising there. Declining does not remove ads; it makes them non-personalised.
Fonts
Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google sees the IP address and user agent of the request. Nothing else is shared with that request.
Outbound links
Articles link to primary sources and other publications. Once you follow one of those links, the privacy policy of that site applies, not this one.
Your rights
Because no personal data is stored by ExplorXR itself, there is normally nothing to export or delete. For data held by Google or Cloudflare in connection with this site, use the links above. If you believe the site holds something about you, write to hello@explorxr.com and we will tell you what we have and remove it if asked.
Children
This site is written for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes are noted on the page rather than announced elsewhere, so this URL is always the current version.
